Here at GSL education in Newcastle we are delighted to be working alongside a setting in Blyth and are looking for a Tutor / HLTA to start in Late February 2025

The setting believes in the potential of every young person and aims to re-engage learners back into mainstream education.delivering a range of programmes that help develop each students character, their confidence and self-awareness. At the end of their time with the setting , the students are more employable, have a better understanding of the importance of learning , have greater awareness of their own skills and abilities and are ready to make positive progressions.

The ideal candidate will work 1-2 and will tutor in Maths, English and Personal Development .

The hours are 9.30-2.30

This is a really interesting and varied role and we are looking for someone who has either HLTA or Tutor experience or has a degree in either subject with relevant school experience
This role has a strong chance of going permanent for the right candidates

Requirements of the role

• Be able to work effectively providing emotional and academic support for pupils
• A passion for helping reluctant learners
• Great Subject Knowledge
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to complete an application
• Kindness, enthusiasm and proactivity with great organisational skills
• Previous experience of working in schools or childcare settings
• Confident , friendly and hardworking
• The ability to build rapport quickly and develop positive and trusting relationships with pupils
