Teaching Assistant Behavioural Support

Vision for Education are currently recruiting for an individual with a background in supporting children and young people who display social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).

The school are requiring a teaching assistant to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in a small group. The school are requesting for a positive, patient, resilient individual that wants to make a difference to these children and young people s lives by. Being adaptable and flexible is essential within this role as you could be working with a range of ages from 11- 18 years. Experience or a Team Teach qualification or equivalent is desirable and would be beneficial however, it is not essential. As part of registering with ourselves Vision for Education we can provide this training.

Requirements to this role

• Working with a range of ages from 11- 18 years old.
• To become a positive role model and influence on individuals.
• Using positive reinforcements to engage and promote learning.
• Confident in working on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Able to remain calm when under pressure.
• Ability to work well in a team and work alongside class teacher to support the needs of the pupils.
