Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting a Teacher of English position in Barking & Dagenham, with the successful applicant to join a supportive and successful school in January 2025. The School are returning to the year following an exceptional set of results at GCSE Level, and are enthusiastic to build on the progress in term 1 and into the rest of the academic year. The successful English department are seeking a dynamic and passionate Teacher of English to join their department for the next two thirds of the year.

• Ofsted Rated 'Good' - praised for Exceptional Teaching within the English department, as well as teachers having an empathetic and understanding approach to students learning. The school are 'outstanding' in all but 2 areas of their most recent inspection.
• Located close to the Elizabeth Line Station, the school is accessible for applicants from Outer and Inner London.
• Student Capacity is 1,800

The role

• Teaching classes between Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential.
• Teaching both English Literature and Language.
• Joining a successful and supportive English department, with a welcoming and experienced Head of Department.
• Department is well resourced.
• 3 subject leads and 8 teachers within the department.
• Pay is in line with Inner London Teacher's Pay Scale updated Sept 2023
• Working hours: 8.30-4pm
• Role commencing Jan 2025 Full-Time, 5 days per week
