About the Role
Are you a creative and enthusiastic Textiles Teacher with a passion for inspiring young minds through design and craftsmanship? We are seeking a talented Textiles Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Cardiff. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and practical Textiles lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Teach a range of techniques and processes, from sewing and fabric manipulation to design and project work.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to enhance their skills.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and exhibitions to showcase student work and celebrate achievements.

About You
We are looking for a skilled and innovative Textiles Teacher with excellent subject knowledge and a passion for design and education. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students to develop their creative potential.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with specialisation in Textiles or Design Technology.
• Proven experience teaching Textiles or related subjects at secondary school level.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and positive approach to teaching.
• A commitment to fostering student development and encouraging creativity.
• Flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the school s community and extracurricular programmes.
