CMA is currently supporting our Poole, Dorset client who is currently in need of an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis. Our client is a well know recognisable national brand, who are going from strength to strength and has seen rapid growth over the last 18 months.

As Assistant accountant you will be supporting in processing the day-to-day transactions and completing transactional finance duties, in addition to supporting the Financial controller with month end close and additional ongoing project work.

What will the Assistant Accountant role involve?

• Processing invoices and raising sales invoices.
• High volume reconciliation an ensuring correct cash allocations.
• Assisting in management accounts to strict deadlines;
• Journal posting and picking up any discrepancies and resolving these early in the process;
• Balance sheet reconciliation work and liaising with the wider finance team with query resolutions;
• Monthly profit and loss analysis.

Suitable Candidate for the Assistant Accountant vacancy:

• This opportunity is ideally suited to a confident Assistant Accountant who is studying final stages of AAT or studying CIMA/ACCA;
• You will already of transactional finance and reconciliations;
• Ideally, you will be a confident systems user including accountancy packages and Excel;
• Ideally suited to a 'self starter' who wants progression in a rapidly growing business.
