Ackerman Pierce is actively seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to join their team within London. This exciting opportunity, initially for a 6-month term, comes with the potential for extension based on performance and internal circumstances.

LOCAL AUTHORITY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Duties for role

• Supporting the Executive Director of Investment and Innovation in ensuring high quality financial administration and stewardship throughout the Council.
• As a member of the Finance Leadership Team, work with the S151 officer, wider

leadership team, CMT, Members and senior officers to develop the vision and values for the council

• To be responsible for the delivery of that vision through sound financial management in the Council.
• Number of staff: Approximately 40 including, plus contract management of external audit,
• systems provider, etc.

Budget responsibility:

• Direct: Service Budget - c 5m
• Indirect: Council's gross expenditure - 982m
