Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic team in Wolverhampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rewarding role, supporting students with SEMH needs to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEMH needs.
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for learning.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure consistent support for students.
Promote positive behaviour management and encourage students' social and emotional development.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a school or alternative provision setting.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
