Summary of the Assurance & Compliance Manager role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Assurance & Compliance Manager to review, develop and implement Quality Management Systems and maintain robust processes and procedures to ensure a compliant estate. The Assurance & Compliance Manager ensures the facilities services team adheres to all regulatory, legal, and contractual obligations while promoting high standards of operational performance, risk management, and continuous improvement. This role involves managing compliance frameworks, implementing quality assurance processes, and supporting a culture of accountability and safety across facilities operations.
Assurance & Compliance Manager Deliverables / Outcomes (include but are not limited to):
Compliance Management:
* Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to meet legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements for facilities services.
* Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews across facilities operations.
* Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation, codes, and standards affecting the facilities management industry.
* Ensure facilities meet environmental, health, and safety regulations, including ISO standards, OSHA compliance, and local laws.
Quality Assurance:
* Oversee and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure service delivery meets contractual obligations and organizational standards.
* Monitor performance metrics, KPIs, and SLAs to identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and maintain documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports, to support quality and compliance initiatives.
Risk Management:
* Identify and mitigate operational risks related to compliance, safety, and service delivery.
* Maintain incident reporting and investigation processes to address and prevent non-compliance or service failures.
* Develop and lead training programs to educate staff on compliance, safety, and quality expectations.
Leadership & Collaboration:
* Act as a point of contact for regulatory bodies, auditors, and clients regarding compliance matters.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, operations, and procurement, to ensure aligned compliance efforts.
* Provide leadership in fostering a culture of compliance, continuous improvement, and accountability.
Continuous Improvement:
* Analyse audit findings and develop corrective action plans to enhance processes.
* Drive initiatives to improve sustainability, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
* Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, integrating relevant innovations into compliance frameworks.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Needed:
* Proven experience in compliance, quality assurance, or risk management within the facilities services industry.
* Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, health and safety standards, and environmental compliance.
* Proficiency in auditing processes and quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Location: London / Hybrid Working (nationwide travel will be required)
Start date: Immediate
Duration: 6+ months
Day Rate: Competitive day rate
