CONTRACT ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Contract Electrical Commissioning Engineer to work within our Data Centre team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the witnessing of commissioning and testing of electrical systems for data centre projects.

Responsibilities

* Conduct site surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with engineering design

* Develop and execute commissioning plans for electrical systems

* Witness testing and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and systems

* Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure smooth commissioning process

* Provide technical support and expertise during the commissioning phase

* Document commissioning activities and prepare reports for project stakeholders

* Stay updated with industry standards and best practices related to electrical commissioning

Qualifications

* Proven experience in commissioning electrical systems, within data centre projects

* Proficient knowledge of UK Engineering Design standards, MEP regulations, and electrical codes

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

* Certification as a Commissioning Engineer is a plus

Day-to-day

* Reviewing and interpreting engineering design documents

* Performing visual inspections and functional testing of electrical equipment

* Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address commissioning issues

* Recording test results and preparing detailed commissioning reports

* Participating in meetings and discussions to support project progress and requirements
