Religious Studies Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering engaging and well-planned lessons in Religious Studies to students across a range of abilities and year groups.
• Encouraging critical thinking and respectful dialogue on diverse religious and ethical topics.
• Designing and implementing an inclusive curriculum that meets the academic and pastoral needs of all students.
• Contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, assemblies, and events.
• Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and professional development.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• A degree in Religious Studies or a related discipline, with PGCE, GTTP, School Direct, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Religious Studies, with a strong understanding of the subject s academic and cultural significance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and engage young minds.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to adapt teaching strategies to suit diverse learning needs.
• Qualification or experience teaching a second subject is a bonus.
