Port Logistics Manager required for a major offshore wind developer based in Germany
Responsibilities
The Port Logistics Manager will oversee all in-port logistics activities for the offshore wind project, focusing on the efficient and safe handling of load-ins and load-outs of foundation and turbine components. This role requires a seasoned professional with excellent organizational skills, a collaborative approach, and substantial experience in port logistics operations.
Manage and oversee load-in and load-out operations for foundation and turbine components
Supervise all in-port logistics activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with schedules
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver the package scope successfully
Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline port logistics operations
Monitor and enforce compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements during port activities
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures related to port logistics
Handle contractual matters, including variations and claims, associated with port operations
Provide regular progress reports and updates to project leadership
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth and timely port logistics execution
