Temporary Warehouse Operative

Location: Near Saffron Walden

Hours: 9-5pm Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week

Salary: 12.00/hr

Possibility of the role going perm for the right person

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our client's warehouse team in Saffron Walden on an initial temp basis. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for accurately picking and packing products for dispatch, alongside various other warehouse duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick and pack customer sales orders to a high standard.
• Label customer orders accurately and ensure correct documentation.
• Operate and maintain the paint mixing machine (training provided).
• Replenish warehouse stock as required.
• Participate in stocktakes and rolling stock checks.
• Assist with Goods-In processes, including manual handling and unloading deliveries.
• Perform heavy lifting where needed and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively as part of a warehouse team to meet daily targets.
• Maintain general housekeeping standards in the warehouse.

Requirements:

• Experience of picking and packing with some heavy lifting.
• A valid fork-lift license is advantageous.
• Ability to perform manual handling and lifting tasks safely.
• Strong attention to detail and good teamworking skills.
