About the Role: KS1 Teaching Assistant:
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA), you will be working closely with students in Year 1 and Year 2, supporting them in their learning journey. A significant part of your role will involve working on boosters and interventions to help pupils who may need extra support. You’ll help deliver targeted activities designed to raise their confidence and improve their academic skills. You will also assist with SEN children, tailoring your approach to their individual needs to ensure they feel supported and included in every lesson.
Key responsibilities as a KS1 TA include:
• Supporting individual and small groups of children in literacy, numeracy, and other subjects
• Assisting with interventions aimed at boosting pupil progress.
• Helping SEN students in accessing the curriculum through tailored resources.• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Working closely with teachers to track and monitor pupil progress.
Application Requirements: KS1 Teaching Assistant:
• Experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally within Key Stage 1.
• A passion for education and helping children thrive.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of SEN is advantageous but not essential.• A proactive and team-oriented approach.
