Would you like to join an international defence company to support their clients by improving the capability, reliability and availability of their most critical assets? Due to continued investment, this global business is currently looking for a CSA Engineer to join their existing team in Devonport (mostly home based, onsite once every 2 months) on a 12 month contract.
The Role
As a CSA Engineer, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Responsible for technical aspects of the structural engineering work packages from identification of the need, through to handover
Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget
Support ensuring that staff and contractors are familiar with the hazards and risks associated with the work undertaken by the delegated engineering team through effective management and communication of the Risk Assessment.
In addition, you will also undertake the delivery of structural engineering activities to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.
You
To succeed within the role of a CSA Engineer, you'll have experience in a similar position and have the following skills:
A degree or equivalent in a Civil or Structural engineering related discipline
Design of heavy civil engineering and building structures to relevant codes, preferably including seismic codes
Knowledge of architectural design of industrial buildings
Knowledge of building services design and installation and construction techniques employed structures
In addition, you should also have sound understanding of engineering design and safety practice as relevant to discipline, post and project requirements.
Please note that due to security nature of this role, offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining SC security clearance. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and will require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
