Automotive Software Support Engineer
Our client is seeking a dedicated Automotive Software Support Engineer with expertise in A-SPICE and ISO 26262 to join their team in the Czech Republic. This hybrid position will require time spent at the customer site, in the office, and working from home. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with automotive software development standards.
This position is a 6-month rolling contract working 39 hours a week, based on site in Czech Republic with flexibility of home working.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for automotive software systems and applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in compliance with A-SPICE and ISO 26262 standards.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate and validate software and hardware systems.
Conduct software testing and debugging to identify and fix bugs.
Perform software updates to improve performance and adapt to new vehicle requirements.
Ensure compliance with software development processes and standards.
Document and maintain software functionality for future reference and upgrades.
Stay updated with the latest technology trends in automotive software engineering.
Support all aspects of Electrical and Electronic (EE) systems in customer meetings.
Travel within Europe and the UK as required.
Skills Required:
Microcontroller and embedded system knowledge.
Experience with software testing and debugging.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Adaptability to new technologies and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
Knowledge of A-SPICE (Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination) and ISO 26262 (Functional Safety for Road Vehicles).
Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) for automotive systems.
Proficiency in programming languages C/C++.
Strong understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
Familiarity with automotive systems and functionalities.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Knowledge of EE hardware design and knowledge of Altium software is an advantage.
Knowledge of Codebeamer software is an advantage
