ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT WORKER ROLE
We are seeking an Engagement Worker for a three-year Fixed Term Contract. This vital frontline role supports individuals with complex needs on their journey to recovery and rehabilitation. Working in a psychologically informed environment (PIE), you will provide person-centred support, helping residents and participants build resilience, develop life skills, and achieve their personal goals.
Holman House: Is a 19-bed residential service close to Bedford Town Centre offering a safe, peaceful and supportive living environment for individuals wishing to engage with support to assist them in increasing their levels of independence.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Rota-based shifts, including evenings and weekends, flexibility required. Shifts include: 08:00 - 16:00, 09:00 - 17:00, and 12:00 - 20:00 face to face in service.
Salary: £23,800
What are we looking for from a Engagement worker?
* Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
* Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
* Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
* Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral. Ability to form and build effective relationships and rapport with others
