Location: Various Sport & Fitness Centres (Hampton, Whitton, Teddington, East Sheen)

Our client operates four dual-use Sport & Fitness Centres located within school grounds, providing an invaluable resource for both students and the wider community. We are committed to promoting health, fitness, and well-being through high-quality facilities and exceptional customer service.

Job Purpose:
As a Duty Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our Sport & Fitness Centres. You will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer care, managing facilities, and enhancing participation in sports and fitness activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facility Management: Act as a key holder, ensuring that all health and safety procedures are followed, and oversee sports and fitness facilities during your shifts.
• Customer Service: Provide fast, courteous, and efficient responses to all customer inquiries, ensuring a welcoming environment for all users.
• Activity Development: Assist in creating a diverse range of activities at the centre, including conducting gym inductions and coaching sessions if qualified.
• Financial Operations: Operate a computerised booking system, process payments, and complete daily financial procedures.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness by following set cleaning procedures for sports and fitness areas, including changing rooms.
• Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks such as stock control and equipment inventory, ensuring all checklists and booking forms are maintained accurately.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside employees, partner providers, and customers with respect and fairness, upholding the Council's commitment to diversity and equality.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to sports and fitness facilities.
• Experience in a supervisory or customer-facing role is advantageous.
• Relevant qualifications in fitness or sports coaching are a plus.

Generic Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of services within the Boroughs of Wandsworth and Richmond.
• Comply with relevant Codes of Practise, including policies related to data protection and health and safety.
• Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring a supportive environment for all.
• Understand the Council's safeguarding responsibilities as they relate to your role.
