Teacher of Religious Studies (with some Sociology teaching at A-level)

Location: Oldham

Start Date: Monday, 24th February 2025

Contract: Long-term placement until the end of the academic year (July 2025)

Pay Rate: Adhering to AWR pay rates

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and effective Religious Studies lessons to Key Stage 3 students, inspiring them to explore and reflect on philosophical, ethical, and spiritual topics.
• Teach Sociology to Year 12 students at A-level, ensuring high-quality lessons that challenge and support students to achieve their academic potential.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary level; experience with A-level Sociology is highly desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of behaviour.
• Enthusiasm for inspiring young people and fostering a love for learning.
