Cover Supervisor - Stoke-on-Trent Area - Immediate Start!

About the Role: Cover Supervisor

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of the classroom, ensuring that students remain engaged and focused while following a pre-planned lesson. Your role will involve managing classroom behaviour, delivering learning materials, and supporting student's educational journeys. Key Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor:

• Take the lead in the classroom, following lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
• Manage student behaviour effectively, ensuring a focused and respectful learning environment.
• Offer support to students, helping them to stay on track with tasks and assignments.
• Ensure that students remain engaged with the lesson and actively participate in their learning.
• Report any issues or concerns back to the appropriate school staff.
• Maintain a calm and positive classroom atmosphere, ensuring students remain motivated and productive.
• Be adaptable and ready to work in a variety of school settings, across different age groups.

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience in a classroom environment, either as a Cover Supervisor or in another educational capacity (ideal but not essential).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage behaviour with confidence.
• A passion for working with young people and supporting their development.
• Flexibility and reliability - each day offers something different!
• The ability to remain calm, patient, and professional, even in challenging situations.
