The Role
As the Exams Officer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the school's examination processes. Key responsibilities include:
Examination Management: Organising and administering all internal and external examinations, including GCSEs and other qualifications.
Timetable Coordination: Preparing detailed exam timetables for students and staff, ensuring all resources and venues are efficiently allocated.
Compliance: Ensuring the school adheres to all examination board regulations and procedures.
Communication: Liaising with examination boards, invigilators, and school staff to ensure accurate and timely information.
Data Handling: Managing the secure storage and distribution of examination papers, scripts, and results.
Invigilation: Recruiting, training, and managing a team of invigilators.
About You
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive individual who:
Has prior experience in an Exams Officer role or similar administrative position (experience in a school setting is desirable).
Is confident working with systems such as SIMS or other school management tools.
Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
Is adaptable, calm under pressure, and solution-focused.
Has a good understanding of exam regulations and procedures (or a willingness to learn).
