The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our vibrant team on a full-time basis. This role is initially for long-term absence cover, with the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.
In this role, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum to students of varying abilities.
Inspire a love for science and curiosity about the world in your students.
Support the academic and personal development of students through effective teaching practices.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to foster a cohesive and innovative Science Department.
Contribute to extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, science fairs, or environmental initiatives.Could This Be Right for You?
Are You…
Qualified? Hold a teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) and a degree in Science or a related field.
Experienced? Ideally, have 2+ years of teaching experience, but we welcome ECTs with a strong passion for teaching.
Skilled? Demonstrate excellent communication, classroom management, and lesson planning abilities.
Personable? Resilient, adaptable, and a team player who can build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.Desirable Skills:
Experience teaching Science at GCSE or A-Level.
