• Role: Skilled Groundworker

• Location: Eastbourne
• Contract type: Temporary (Full Time)
• Start date: ASAP
• Pay rate: 23-24 an hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Excavation, levelling, and preparation of ground surfaces for construction projects.
• Laying foundations, drains, and underground utilities.
• Installing and maintaining kerbs, paving, and other outdoor structures.
• Operating groundworks machinery (e.g., mini diggers, dumper trucks) when necessary.
• Assisting with site setup, including preparing and clearing sites for construction.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards on all projects.
• Collaborating with other trades and teams to ensure smooth project progression.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order.
• Carrying out general groundworks duties as directed by the site manager or supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Groundworker or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of groundworks techniques and materials.
• Experience with operating relevant machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and site plans.
• Good knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• CSCS card (preferred) and other relevant certifications.
• Valid driver's license (preferred).
• Fit for work Medical (prefered)
