Our client is a Specialist Contractor involved in the delivery of a circa £35M Residential tower scheme in Bristol over the next 2 years..

To support their Operations Management team”, they now require an experienced “Project Director”, ideally with a Tier 1 Main Contracting / operational background and Residential development experience to support the post contract Delivery of this scheme.

The role will involve extensive client liaison approval and agreement of Design team selection & specialist sub Contractor’s proposals and monitoring and reporting of design variations to produce a clear audit trail during the project life cycle of schemes through to handover towards the end of 2026.

The ideal "Project Director" candidate will have aspects of the following profile / background.

* Commercial Main Contracting / Medium to Major Project background.

* Degree qualified with a Construction discipline

* Ability to drive cost savings via “Value Engineering” and to focus on Buildability and Commercial constraints in Design solutions.

* Understanding of Sustainability objectives and Lean Construction Technologies.

* Experience of complex High value residential developments above £25M value.

* Experience of managing the design process through all RIBA Design Stages

* The individual must have the ability to take a holistic approach to the scheme and take total ownership of Design Solutions for your Project.

* Can demonstrate a detailed and complete understanding of contract obligations which is complemented with a good working knowledge and experience of contract administration, including interim payments, design management, change control, quality management and final certification.

* Experience of successfully delivering projects and controlling time, cost and project quality. .

Ideally, we are looking for someone with thorough knowledge of the development and construction process from inception and feasibility through to completion, handover and operation. You'll also need previous experience of delivering commercial / Residential development schemes.

This is a key Project and Operational role for the business and for the right Project Director level candidate our client is open to payment of accommodation or travel for those not within travel distance to Bristol..
