Job Description

We are recruiting for a commercial maintenance plumber to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on a static basis in the Salford area. The plumber will be responsible for all repairs and upkeep to the water and mechanical services on a large scale estate plus small works refurbishments etc.

On offer:

Temporary role, start ASAP until July

The basic pay is £17.50 PAYE or UMB rate £20.50

Circa 37.5 hours per week Mon-Fri

Static role

Basic DBS required which can be done is successful on interview

Plumber Description:

Completing reactive repairs, planned maintenance and small works projects. To cover the following plant:

Hot and cold-water feeds

Pumps and valves

Non-Gas Boiler work

Radiators and heating

Drainage

Bathroom / toilet pipework and water services

Mechanical plant room

Fabric maintenance duties – basic joinery, painting etc.

Leak repair

Water heaters and cylinders

Water Tank

L8 prevention and thermostatic mixer valves

Plus other associated tasks

Plumber Requirements:

Candidates will be time served and have as a minimum City and Guilds in Plumbing / Mech Engineering

Ideally CSCS or similar H&S certification (not essential)

Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.

It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.

Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks

Mechanically skilled engineer with a knowledge of Building services (water, heating, ventilation and waste)

Be prepared to undertake training as required by the post and the contract manager.

Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
