Job Description

Our Wellingborough based clients are currently seeking an experienced Weighbridge operative for their modern and innovative facility.

Main Purpose

* Operate the weighbridge equipment and associated software to accurately measure the weight of vehicles and their loads.

* Provide clear instructions to drivers on the weighing process and safety procedures whilst on site.

* Working closely with the commercial team to help generate leads to maximise vehicle utilisation and load fill.

Responsibilities

* Operate the weighbridge equipment and associated software to accurately measure the weight of vehicles and their loads.

* Ensure proper alignment of vehicles on the weighbridge platform for accurate weighing.

* Record weights, vehicle details, and load information in the database accurately and efficiently.

* Provide clear instructions to drivers on the weighing process and safety procedures whilst on site.

* Ensure adherence to all relevant weight regulations and guidelines.

* Report any instances of non-compliance or suspicious activities to your line manager.

* Communicate effectively with Veka & external drivers, customers, and internal personnel regarding weighing procedures, documentation, and related matters.

* Answer enquiries and provide assistance to drivers and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

* Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including vehicle details, weights, and load information.

This role is being offered on a temp-ongoing basic, with an ideal start date of February 10th 2025.

Hours of work

* 06:00-14:30pm – Monday to Friday
