A Grammar School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sociology Teacher to join our vibrant Social Sciences department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons in Sociology to students at GCSE and A-Level.
• Promote critical thinking and in-depth analysis of sociological issues, theories, and research.
• Encourage students to engage in thoughtful discussions and debates on contemporary social issues.
• Support students' academic progress and exam preparation with constructive feedback and guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Social Sciences department to develop a stimulating curriculum.
• Contribute to the extracurricular life of the school through activities that extend students' learning.

Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified teacher with a degree in Sociology or a related field.
• Experience teaching Sociology at a secondary school or post-16 level is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• A passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering a stimulating learning environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to support students' diverse needs.
• An understanding of current educational practices and the ability to deliver lessons creatively.
