£150-£175 per day

February half-term

The School and Role

One of the largest schools in Essex, based in Billericay are looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Part-time History Teacher to work in a friendly and supportive Humanities department on a long-term basis. Working in this Secondary School as part of an established team, the desired Part-time History Teacher will be planning and delivering lessons up to A-Level. With students continuing their education at top Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities, students are set high expectations by their teachers. The school has an excellent reputation in the local area and is proud of the impact the school has within the local community. This school offers free on-site parking and also has transport links via regular bus routes and Greater Anglia train which is ideal for a part-time History Teacher in Essex. Initially this is a long-term role, with the view to become permanent for September 2025.

Requirements 

The desired Part-time History Teacher will;

Be able to create a safe and positive learning environment.

Embody the school vision and values of behaviour, respect and kindness.

Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire students to explore their creativity and improve their analytical and critical thinking skills.

Have a good knowledge of the UK Curriculum.

PGCE in History with QTS and right to work in the UK.
