Teaching Assistant | B66 | February 2025

Long Term Futures Recruitment is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in B66, Birmingham. This role involves supporting students across resource bases, helping them to reach their full potential in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Start: February 2025

Location: B66, Birmingham

Daily Rate: £95 - £105

Days: Full Time, Monday - Friday, Term Time Only

Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

Provide bespoke support for students with special educational needs within resource bases.

Adapt learning activities to suit individual requirements, ensuring every pupil can effectively access the curriculum.

Deliver targeted interventions, such as phonics and reading, to support pupil progress.

Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families to foster an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.

Provide focused support to pupils with additional needs, including Autism (ASD) and ADHD, through one-to-one and small group sessions.

Work closely with the teaching team to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) effectively.Requirements:

A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree.

Previous experience working in a school setting, particularly with children who have SEND.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils and staff.
