Key Responsibilities:
Leading and managing the major repair programme
Engaging actively with consultants, contractors, and elected members
Implementing bridge design, maintenance, and structural solutions
Overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion
Ensuring the programme is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
Managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Coordinating and securing necessary funding and resources
Conducting site visits and attending meetings as and when required
Job Requirements:
High calibre with significant experience in structural and bridge engineering
Proven track record of managing large-scale public infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of bridge design, maintenance, and structural engineering principles
Essential knowledge of local government processes and experience with public sector projects
Excellent project management and leadership skills
Ability to work remotely with the ability to travel to site/ meetings when requested
Proficiency in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Degree in civil engineering or a related discipline
