Job Description

Our client, a leading water sector specialist are looking for a Process Operator to start ASAP on a contract basis. Candidates must have a relevant background as a Process Operator, ideally within the water sector. 

Rate: £(Apply online only)p/day (outside IR35)

Duration: 6 months+ 

Start: ASAP

Location: Driffield (Yorkshire Water)

Job Overview:

Oversee and manage the operation of water treatment equipment and systems following established procedures.

Ensure the plant operates efficiently and safely at all times.

Monitor and assess data from the Site SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system.

Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Report any safety hazards or concerns without delay.

Identify and troubleshoot any issues with plant equipment and systems.

Implement corrective actions to restore normal operations.

Collaborate with the operations team, engineers, and maintenance staff to maintain smooth operations.   

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience in operating water treatment plants or similar facilities.

Strong understanding of water treatment processes and technologies.

Experience with SCADA systems and control systems.

Knowledge of water quality monitoring and analysis.

Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment, including shift work.
