• Leading and managing the major repair programme
• Engaging actively with consultants, contractors, and elected members
• Implementing bridge design, maintenance, and structural solutions
• Overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion
• Ensuring the programme is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Coordinating and securing necessary funding and resources
• Conducting site visits and attending meetings as and when required

• High calibre with significant experience in structural and bridge engineering
• Proven track record of managing large-scale public infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of bridge design, maintenance, and structural engineering principles
• Essential knowledge of local government processes and experience with public sector projects
• Excellent project management and leadership skills
• Ability to work remotely with the ability to travel to site/ meetings when requested
• Proficiency in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
• Degree in civil engineering or a related discipline
