Ardent Social is proud to partner with the London Borough of Islington to recruit a Senior Social Worker for the Children in Need (CIN) / Child Protection (CP) Assessment and Support Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work in a fast-paced, supportive team environment while making a real difference in the lives of children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments for children in need and children at risk of harm, including child protection plans and court-related work.
• Develop and implement effective support plans aimed at safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people.
• Collaborate with multi-agency teams, including education, health, and legal professionals, to deliver seamless care and intervention.
• Lead on complex cases, ensuring timely decision-making and intervention while managing risk and maintaining the safety of children.
• Provide professional guidance and leadership to less experienced team members, promoting high standards of practice.
• Work closely with families, empowering them to make positive changes and meet the needs of their children.

What We re Looking For:

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Significant experience in children s social work, including CIN and CP cases.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and experience managing complex cases.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model, with a base at Lifford House, Islington.
