Cover Teacher - Secondary School (Birmingham)

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Contract Type: Full-Time, 5 Days a Week
Salary: 140 - 200 per day, dependent on experience.
Start Date: Immediate

Overview:
A well-established secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a qualified and experienced Cover Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. The role involves providing classroom cover across various subjects to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged with their learning during the absence of the regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering lessons as per the provided plans across a variety of subjects.
• Maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Managing student behaviour and ensuring the school's policies are adhered to.
• Ensuring all students are actively engaged and completing their tasks.
• Providing feedback on student progress and any concerns to the relevant staff.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A minimum of two years of teaching experience within a UK secondary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in diverse subject areas.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to cover a variety of subjects as required.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of education.
