Site Manager (No1) - £6m new build - start to finish

Buckingham

Temp / Perm or Permanent

Start 10th Feb 2025 or the week after

£60,000 - £65,000 + car allowance + package or daily rate equivalent

This well run, and financially stable regional building contractor carries out new build, & large refurbishments across a range of sectors up to a project value of circa £7m. Sectors include commercial, residential, education, sport & leisure and automotive.

This project is a £6m new build medical facility in Buckingham (for a repeat client), and requires a No.1 Site Manager with new build experience. Steel frame construction with SIPS panelling and masonry envelope. Composite deck floors and full internal fit out. Greenfield site, so expected candidate must have experience from the ground up as the No1 Site Manager, taking a job from conception to completion.

Reporting to a visiting contracts manager.

Duration - 56 weeks

Would consider temp or perm position for the right candidate.

The Site Manager will take the job from start to finish and will be expected to be a "proper" stand-alone No1 on site; looking after the following:

• Managing day to day activities on site of the site team and sub-contractors

• Sub-contract and material procurement

• Construction plan

• Health & Safety

• Progress reports and site meetings

• Programming - short term (1 week / 2 week look-ahead)

• Quality control

• Liaison with the design team, M&E consultants, project architect, structural engineer and building control

The ideal Site Manager must / have:

• CSCS (Black or Gold), SMSTS and First Aid at Work

• Have a proven track record of new build projects at a similar project value
