Support Worker for Adults Experiencing Homelessness

Location: Exeter

Position Type: Temporary (6 - 10 weeks)

Pay: £12.50 per hour

We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing essential support to adults who are experiencing homelessness in Exeter. This temporary position offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals during a crucial period of their recovery and transition.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to adults facing homelessness, helping them to access accommodation, welfare support, and other services.

Offer emotional and practical support to individuals as they work through their challenges.

Work collaboratively with other services, including housing providers, social services, and health teams, to ensure individuals receive holistic care.

Maintain accurate records and case notes in line with policy and best practice.

Encourage independence and empower individuals to achieve their goals.Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience in social care, support work, or a related field is required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a non-judgmental approach.

Empathy and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with various support needs.

A proactive attitude and a commitment to supporting others through difficult times.

An understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness.Benefits:
