Job Advert: Accounts Payable Assistant (Temporary)

Location: Southwark, London
Contract Type: Temporary - Office Based
Hourly Rate: 18.00 - 20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
• Ensure timely payments to suppliers and vendors
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate payment processes
• Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal stakeholders promptly
• Support the implementation of improvements in accounts payable processes

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in an accounts payable role or similar financial position
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and best practises
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• AAT qualification or equivalent is a plus but not essential
