Year 3 & 4 Primary School Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover)

Simply Education is looking for a passionate and dedicated Year 3 & 4 Primary School Teaching Assistant to join our team in Manchester starting in March for a maternity cover position. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children during these formative years, working closely with teachers and contributing to a nurturing and engaging classroom environment.

• Classroom Support: Assist the Year 3 and 4 teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons, ensuring all pupils have the opportunity to thrive.
• One-to-One and Group Work: Provide targeted support for individuals or small groups, helping to build confidence and understanding in core subjects.
• Inclusive Environment: Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports the academic and personal development of all learners.
• Resource Preparation: Help prepare learning materials and resources in collaboration with the teacher, ensuring smooth lesson delivery.
• Progress Monitoring: Support the teacher in tracking pupil progress and providing constructive feedback to help pupils achieve their potential.
• Behaviour Management: Promote positive behaviour and provide support to maintain a focused learning environment.
• Collaboration: Work with colleagues, parents, and carers to provide the best possible support for pupils, contributing to the wider school community.

• Experience or strong enthusiasm for working with Year 3 and 4 pupils as a Primary School Teaching Assistant.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with pupils, teachers, and parents.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
