Job Summary
A dynamic secondary school in London seeks an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to inspire and engage students in their mathematical learning journey. The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative team committed to academic excellence and student development.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of learners across Key Stages 3, 4, and, if applicable, Key Stage 5.
Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work in accordance with the national curriculum and school guidelines.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel encouraged to achieve their potential.
Monitor and track students’ progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and contribute to the department’s resources.
Participate actively in department meetings, training sessions, and school-wide events.
Uphold the school’s policies, ethos, and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.Person Specification
Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS). A degree in Mathematics or a related field is essential.
Experience: Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level, including preparing students for GCSE examinations. Experience teaching A-levels is desirable but not essential.
Skills and Attributes:
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to make mathematics accessible and engaging.
Excellent classroom management skills with a focus on creating a supportive and focused learning environment.
A passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love of mathematics among students.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
