Wagon Fitters (All Mechanical Background Considered)

Location: Cambridgeshire (Peterborough & March + other nearby sites)

Duration: 12-month contract (potential for future permanent opportunities)

Shifts: Rotating weekly

* Week 1: Monday to Friday, 9-hour shifts

* Week 2: Sunday to Thursday, 9-hour shifts

(Initial training hours may vary but will not include weekends.)

Hours: 45 per week

Pay: approx. (doe) £29 per hour (umbrella) / £22.55 per hour (PAYE) + expenses

The Role

We are looking for mechanically minded candidates to carry out wagon maintenance and examinations across Peterborough, March, and surrounding sites. Duties include:

* Reactive and preventative maintenance

* Performing wagon exams (full training provided)

* Supporting with slinging and lifting as required

* Working both indoors and outdoors (expect a high amount of outdoor work)

* Potential requirement to lodge out once competent

What We're Looking For

* Strong mechanical background (all industries considered)

* NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical discipline (preferred)

* Full UK driving licence

* Any experience with wagons or rolling stock is beneficial but not essential - full training provided

* Flexibility with work locations (Peterborough & March as primary bases)
