We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Accountant for a temporary contact within local authority services.
Hybrid working is available, but you would need to be able to attend Gateshead Civic Centre as and when required.
The post requires an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Accountant. It is essential that as a minimum you should be a qualified Accounting Technician or hold an equivalent qualification and have experience of working in a public sector financial management environment. The post is for a period of up to 9 months to work on the Adult Social Care Finance Team to provide cover for the operations and management of the team to facilitate a specific time limited project.
Essential for this role are CCAB qualification or equivalent and evidence of professional, technical and behavioral competencies along with the below skills.
o Providing professional financial advice
o Excellent communication skills
o Ability to work with minimum supervision and organise own workload
o Ability to work to tight deadlines
o Ability to liaise with a wide variety of internal and external clients
