ALN Teaching Assistant - West Cardiff

🕗 Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Are you an experienced ALN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? We are looking for a dedicated ALN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in West Cardiff on a full-time basis.

Role Overview:

🔹 Morning: One-to-one support for a pupil with autism, providing tailored assistance to help them engage with learning and daily activities.

🔹 Afternoon: General Teaching Assistant role in the Nursery class, supporting children in their early years development.

Key Requirements:

✅ Experience working with ASD and ALN in a primary school setting

✅ Strong understanding of individual learning needs and strategies to support children with additional needs

✅ Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

✅ Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

✅ EWC registration (Education Workforce Council)

✅ A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
