Job Title: Site Contract Manager (HMP)

Client: Pioneering Green Steel Production Company

Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract

Location: Boden, Sweden

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Kintec are currently partnered with a pioneering Green Steel Production Company who are constructing a plant in Northern Sweden that will produce Green Steel - Green Steel production emits up to 95% less CO ₂ compared conventional steel production.  

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the works by the EPCM Contractor of the +/-15 Construction Sub-Contracts (TIC roughly 350 M Euro), throughout 2025+2026 for the Hydrogen Manufacturing Plant (HMP) of CLIENT in Boden including:

Timely processes the incoming Change Requests into Change Orders and obtains internal alignment and approval;

Timely processes the incoming payment applications and expedites internally to obtain approvers;

Submits requests for credit invoices to Sub-Contractors and follows-up with accounting to ensure closure;

Attends Kick-off Meetings + where required is present at the weekly site meetings with Sub-Contractors;

Ensures Bank Guarantees / Bonds are received and send in to CLIENT;

Administrates the formal letters send out by EPCM to the Sub-Contractors and follows-up on any open actions;

Escalates any issues with Sub-Contractors to the HMP Contracts Lead;

Focal point for the Contract for Detail Cut/Fill/Blast works and Underground works (throughout 2025) as Site Contract Manager HMP from a commercial- and contractual standpoint. This includes close coordination with the Contract Management Team of Civils works (site wide);

Focal point for the Contract for Engineering and architecture consultancy (throughout 2025) as Site Contracts Manager HMP from a commercial- and contractual standpoint. This includes close coordination with the Contract Management Team of Civils works (site wide);

Create strategies for remaining works yet to be awarded with the EPCM Contractor Sub-Contracting Manager and the HMP Procurement Lead;

Support the steel supply strategy during the pre-award and post-award phase for HMP for pipe supports and for steel in the 'other buildings';

Support at site towards Logistics HMP and provide support to Procurement for the yet to be awarded Site Contracts;

Focal point for the Balance of Plan Sub-Contracts +/- 20 Contracts in supply of goods of the Electrolyzers in pre-award and post-award phase in Contract Management. The Site Contracts Manager HMP will assure deviations on Terms and Conditions for BOP Contracts to be awarded are closed out and in post-award joins the weekly expediting calls to ensure timely delivery by TK NCA of the Vendor Documents and the delivery of the goods;

Working closely with the Cost Control Lead and the Construction Lead for HMP;

Weekly check-ins with Contract Management team in Boden and the HMP Contract Lead to present status and escalate issues / ask for support;

Assures KPI reporting is performed for Contract Management HMP;

SKILLSETS/ REQUIREMENTS

Technical- and commercial background:

5+ years' experience in Post-award Contract Management in Construction Contracts;

Strong background in handling variations and change requests (including site instructions);

Pro-active person who possesses the ability to interact up to Director level with Site Construction Contractors;

Strong communicator and highly advanced in English language. Swedish language is seen as an advantage but not a requirement;

Able to work with tools to handle changes and payment applications;

Able to report contractual breaches to CLIENT HMP Claims Lead;

Result driven and a team-player;

This role is for the individual to be located on a daily basis (4-5 days a week) at the Boden Electrolyzer Plant located in Boden, Sweden
