Job Title: Principal Electrical Engineer (Pre-FEED & FEED Projects)

Location: Leatherhead, Surrey (Hybrid working options possible)

Contract Duration: 12 months

Hourly Rate: 60.00 (Limited Company Rate)

Start Date: Immediate

IR35 Status: Likely outside IR35 (subject to assessment)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join a leading client on a Pre-FEED and FEED project. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with a strong background in power system design for energy transition projects.

Key Responsibilities for a Principal Electrical Engineer:

• Develop conceptual designs for onshore and/or offshore energy transition projects
• Size and select 132kV / 11kV equipment, large frequency converters, AC/DC UPS systems, and other critical electrical infrastructure
• Contribute to the development of electrical philosophies for projects
• Perform Power Systems Studies (ETAP or equivalent)
• Oversee brownfield tie-ins at existing plants and ensure designs are integrated efficiently

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Demonstrable experience in designing power systems for energy transition projects
• Proven expertise in Pre-FEED and FEED work
• Strong background in sizing and selection of electrical equipment, including high-voltage systems and frequency converters
• Experience in conducting Power Systems Studies (ETAP or similar)
• Ability to handle brownfield tie-ins within existing plant environments
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Working Arrangement:
The Principal Electrical Engineer role is based in Leatherhead with possible hybrid working options (up to two days remote).
