Personal Social Development Teacher

Start date: 24th February 2025

Location: Alternative provision, Chesterfield.

Daily Rate: £150 - £230

About the role: PK Education are looking to recruit a Personal Social Development Teacher who has previous experience teaching pupils with special educational needs. This role will consists of teaching PSHRE, Citizenship, careers and basic ICT skills.

You will deliver the schools personalised curriculum that is adapted to suit the pupils needs within a safe and structured environment. The staffing teams are small compared to mainstream schools and the post will suit a teacher who is willing to be flexible to meet the needs of the pupils and the

academy. You will be supported by the Head Teacher and Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for someone who has experience of appropriate management techniques for young pupils with SEND, SEMH, communication difficulties and challenging behaviour.

Our ideal candidate will be calm and understanding, patient and be able to communicate with students aged 11-16 who have educational health care plans.

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• Must drive with access to a car with business insurance.
