Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Sutton
Salary Range: £85 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Full-time

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? If so, a specialist school in Sutton is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to work with students with Autism (ASD), Down Syndrome, and complex needs. This rewarding role provides an opportunity to make a real difference in a supportive school environment.

SEN TA Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with ASD, Down Syndrome, and complex needs.
• Assist with classroom activities, ensuring each child can access learning effectively.
• Work closely with teachers and therapists to implement personalised education plans.
• Support students social and emotional development, encouraging independence.
• Assist with personal care and sensory needs where necessary.

SEN TA Requirements:

• Experience working with children with SEN (school or care setting preferred).
• A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to learning support.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
