The Island Project is seeking a dynamic Office Administrator to support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Office Manager in ensuring smooth and efficient school operations. Main Responsibilities
As an Office Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of the school. Your duties will include:
Managing reception duties such as answering phones, welcoming visitors, and handling deliveries.
Maintaining and updating financial records, including using SAGE software and managing petty cash and monthly budget reconciliation.
Supporting payroll processes, including NEST Pension enrolment and liaising with payroll providers.
Ordering and monitoring cleaning and office supplies.
Coordinating recruitment activities such as liaising with agencies, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new staff, including arranging training.
Maintaining HR records and ensuring the Single Central Register is up to date.
Providing administrative support for HR meetings, including minute-taking.The ideal candidate will
Be highly organised with excellent multitasking abilities.
Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Possess strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
Have a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Google Suite, and PowerPoint.
Understand the principles of GDPR and confidentiality.
Show resilience and remain calm under pressure.
Be creative, proactive, and a team player with the ability to work independentlyRequirements
Proven administrative experience, preferably in an educational setting.
Basic typing and IT skills.
Commitment to the values and ethos of the Island Project.
