We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Design & Technology teacher to join our team.

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Design & Technology Teacher to inspire and challenge students across Key Stage 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5). The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with a strong passion for teaching and learning in the field of Design & Technology. You will be expected to deliver high-quality lessons, manage classroom behavior effectively, and contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum.

Responsibilities:

* Teach Design & Technology to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 classes.

* Develop and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

* Ensure high standards of student progress and attainment.

* Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students and foster creativity.

* Assess and monitor students' work and provide constructive feedback.

* Promote a positive and safe learning environment.

* Contribute to extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs related to Design & Technology.

* Work collaboratively with other members of the department and across the school.

Qualifications and Skills:

* A relevant degree or qualification in Design & Technology or a related field.

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable but not essential).

* Strong subject knowledge across Design & Technology disciplines (e.g., product design, engineering, graphics, textiles, etc.).

* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

* A passion for inspiring students to reach their full potential in a creative and practical subject.

* Experience in using CAD software, 3D printing, or other modern technologies (desirable).

* Ability to work well within a team and contribute to the department’s development.
