Role: DevTest & UAT Specialist (Remote Contractor)
Location: Remote (UK-based)
Clearance: NATO Secret / UK SC
Rate: Up to €80 per hour
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced UK-based contractor to support a high-profile programme for a client in Belgium. The role involves setting up and maintaining DevTest and UAT environments in Azure DevTestLabs, ensuring the latest software releases are tested and implemented, and tracking system bugs. The successful candidate will work remotely and must have strong expertise in Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and system testing.
Key Responsibilities:
DevTest Environment Setup and Maintenance -
Establish and maintain DevTest server-side and reflective client-side environments in Azure DevTestLabs for IKM tools and SharePoint customisations.
Ensure the latest COTS releases extending SharePoint capabilities are implemented, in line with the AT&T portfolio.
Support testing of COTS software based on the NDWC roadmap.
Deploy administrative and monitoring tools used by the PLT003 platforms team.
Reflect production-level end-user environments in cooperation with the CP team.
Implement a lifecycle schedule to update the DevTest environment quarterly (ideally monthly), ensuring consistency with UAT.
Maintain an update log for all software versions deployed.
UAT Environment Setup and Maintenance -
Establish and maintain a UAT server-side environment for IVVQ testing, ensuring it reflects the SharePoint production environment.
Follow Microsoft best practices for configuration when no predefined guidelines exist.
Commit deployment scripts weekly to the Azure DevOps repository.
Implement a lifecycle schedule for UAT updates, ensuring at least quarterly (ideally monthly) updates.
Maintain a log of updates performed.
Bug Tracking and Reporting -
Identify, document, and track reproducible bugs totalling 16 story points per sprint, equivalent to two sprints by a single development team member.
Provide detailed bug reports including:
Reproduction steps
System information
Acceptance criteria
Prioritise bugs in the Product Backlog to facilitate resolution by the development team.
Validate and document gaps in requirement fulfilment as user stories.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, support teams, and product owners, to ensure reported bugs are addressed efficiently.Key Deliverables & Milestones:
Successful setup and ongoing maintenance of DevTest and UAT environments.
Regular quarterly (preferably monthly) updates for both environments.
Bug tracking and documentation in line with 16 story points per sprint.
All deliverables to be accepted via a Delivery Acceptance Sheet (DAS) and EBA Receipt number.Required Skills & Experience:
Extensive experience with Azure DevTestLabs and Azure DevOps.
Strong expertise in SharePoint administration and customisation testing.
Familiarity with COTS software deployment and integration.
Experience in UAT & IVVQ testing environments.
Strong bug tracking and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with remote teams.Contractors must hold NATO Secret Clearance or comparable UK SC Clearance in order to start work.

Hourly rate Up to €80 (Outside of IR35)
