Interventions Teaching Assistant

Location: Handsworth, Birmingham B21

Day Rate: £95-£105

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm

Long Term Futures is seeking a committed Interventions Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary school in Handsworth. This rewarding role provides the opportunity to make a real difference by delivering targeted interventions to support pupils in reaching age-related expectations. This full-time position offers long-term stability, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

As part of this role, you will be expected to:

Adapt and create teaching materials to cater to diverse learning needs

Assist in lesson planning, resource organisation, and maintaining a structured classroom environment

Lead targeted interventions to boost academic progress and overall wellbeing

Support children with SEN through one-to-one assistance and small group sessions

Facilitate engaging activities that encourage social interaction and inclusivityThe ideal candidate will have:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent degree

Minimum one year of experience supporting primary pupils, preferably in Early Years or Key Stage 1

Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum

Experience delivering effective phonics interventions in both group and one-to-one settingsHow to apply:
