DCT Recruitment Ltd are looking for Fire alarm engineers to work with our client to fit all fire alarms across many welcome break projects on a temporary basis.

This role will include travel and time spent away. Hotels will be paid for, plus £20 for food per night.

Responsibilities

• Completing all new installations and maintenance of fire alarm and security

systems to BAFE/NSI/BS standards according to design drawings and

specifications.

• Commission and Service fire alarm systems and associated products at client sites,

and taking responsibility for the maintenance of these systems

• Carrying out alterations (modifications) of existing fire alarms

• Testing and Inspecting Fire Alarm Systems

• Complete small and larger installations as part of a team or on your own

• Servicing and diagnostic repairs to various fire alarm systems

• Complete reactive and preventative maintenance.

• Conducting Repairs

• Fault Finding

• RAMs – preparation of risk assessments and method statements

• Ensuring inspection records are correctly recorded

Qualifications Required

BS 5839-1 Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings. (Non-domestic

properties)

• knowledge of GENT, Protec , Kentec,, Morley, Hyfire, Ziton, Advanced Electronics.

• Compliance with industry standard

• Worked within a BAFE / SSAIB / NSI certified company.

• Knowledge of British standards

• 3 years minimum experience working as a Fire Alarm Engineer

• Knowledgeable about all fire safety codes and regulations
